Is this a daydream?

Mariah Carey’s landmark album Daydream is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special 30th anniversary edition featuring unreleased bonus tracks, fan favorites, live performances, and classic remixes. Additionally, for the first time available to the public are writing demos from Mariah herself.

Daydream, originally released on October 3, 1995, stands as one of the most commercially successful and critically celebrated albums. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and “Fantasy” made history as the first song by a female artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her duet with Boyz II Men, “One Sweet Day,” also debuted at #1 and went on to spend a record-breaking 16 consecutive weeks atop the charts, and her ever-so-popular “Always Be My Baby” also peaked at #1.

Featured in the anniversary release is a never-before-seen “Making of Fantasy” featurette, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the music video, directed by Mariah Carey herself. The video captures the making of the iconic “Fantasy” music video, offering fans a rare and personal window into a defining moment in pop music history.

The anniversary album is available digitally today. On October 16, Daydream: 30th Anniversary Edition will be available as a 3LP, 2CD and cassette. The 3LP vinyl will include the full Live at Madison Square Garden 1995 concert performance for the very first time. The collection also includes never-before-released tracks making their vinyl debut across the set. The 2CD and deluxe digital release will feature previously unreleased versions of  “Always Be My Baby” and “Open Arms” that took place at Mariah Carey’s Daydream tour stop in Rotterdam on June 17, 1996.
