There’s a new electrifying era for the Los Angeles-based girl group KATSEYE with their brand-new EP, WILD, via HYBE and Geffen Records.
The project, shaped by a two-year defining journey, reflects the “wild ride” the girls experienced as they grew and transformed. The five-song EP features chart-topping hits “Pinky Up” and “Animal” and is a follow-up to their GRAMMY-nominated EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS.
WILD is rooted in self-discovery; KATSEYE embraces every version of themselves, resulting in a project that feels open, boundless, and uniquely their own. The lead-off track and first single, “PINKY UP,” grows the world KATSEYE has been building as confident, playful, and always pushing pop forward.
Co-written by Ed Sheeran, “Animal” is a bold, flirtatious pop anthem that celebrates embracing one’s wild side. While working closely with KATSEYE, Sheeran shares, “I heard KATSEYE’s song ‘Gnarly’ last year when I was in Mexico and loved it. Said I was a fan and reached out to them to see if I could write them a song. We’ve created ‘Animal’ together. Animal’ explores the contrast between public personas and private, uninhibited energy…KATSEYE is showing fans what it means to run WILD.”
To celebrate this new chapter of Wild, earlier in August, KATSEYE premiered at The Grove in Los Angeles, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS. The film takes fans deeper into the bold new chapter the group is launching with WILD. Featuring never-before-seen footage, EYEKONS fan videos, and intimate interviews with the group members, the film explores the powerful bond between KATSEYE and their global fandom, which has grown into a cultural phenomenon. Now, the film can be seen at 1,700 cinemas across 60 countries worldwide.
At the end of August and ahead of their world tour, KATSEYE will take the stage at Olivia Rodrigo’s new charitable music festival in Irvine, Daisy Chains, which features an all-women lineup with net proceeds donated to charities for women and girls.
