Legendary Sacramento Band LUXT Is Bringing New Music And New Energy To Their Reunion Show
After being away for twenty years, LUXT will return to the stage on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Goldfield’s in Roseville, California. The band shares how excited they are to debut two brand new songs on Nov 22nd, and their plans to release more new music and continue with live performances. And talk about life before MySpace / social media, and the frustration with labels wanting to change the look and sound of LUXT.
LUXT is a self-described “Cyber Voodoo Rock” band, originally formed in Sacramento, California in 1995 by vocalist Anna Christine and multi-instrumentalist / producer Erie Loch. Early on, the band built a reputation for a heavy, industrial-leaning sound fused with melodic rock elements, striking visuals, and a fiercely energetic live show. After several lineup changes, the group solidified its longest running roster with David Hubbard on guitar and Scott “Crash” Hale on bass.
In talking further with Anna, she shared the trials and tribulations of being a female singer in this heavy rock genre, “from an industry standpoint they were trying to scrub our sound and put me upfront to put everybody else in the back, take Erie off vocals, etc.,” Anna continues, “the other thing they told me was I was too fat, I was too old, and I wasn’t hot enough. It put me in a pretty shitty place for a very long time.” Nowadays, Anna is proving that attitude over age prevails every time.
Between 1995 and 2005, LUXT released five studio albums, completed five North American tours, played more than 500 live shows, and shared the stage with major acts including Rammstein, System of a Down, Godsmack, Papa Roach, Saliva, Alien Ant Farm, Puddle of Mudd and many others. Their music reached rock, college, and specialty radio across the U.S. and Canada, while their increasingly devoted fanbase, and avid street team, pushed their albums to strong regional sales and sellouts of local shows.
The band earned three Sacramento Area Music (SAMMIES) Awards, a Modesto Area Music (MAMA) Award, and multiple Reader’s Choice and Industry Choice recognitions for Best Album, Best Vocalist (Anna Christine), Best Live Show, and Hardest Working Band. Their performances showcased a blend of metal, industrial, and melodic rock with a polished, high-impact production style that became their signature. In July 2005, after years of touring, label battles, personal challenges, and the demanding pace of independent success, LUXT played a packed farewell performance at The Boardwalk in Northern California.

I was actually at that final LUXT show at the Boardwalk 20 years ago, and I cannot tell you how excited I am for this show! I don’t think the venue is going to be big enough, I am so excited to see them sell the place out and rock the roof right off!
How exciting for you to have seen the final show! I’m excited for their return.
