If you’re anything like me, Hilary Duff was probably part of your orbit, from her breakout Disney role as Lizzie McGuire, to A Cinderella Story, to her 4x platinum 2003 album Metamorphosis, and don’t forget her run on Darren Star’s Younger, and she remains one of the defining stars of her generation.

Now, for the first time in a decade, Hilary Duff makes her bold return to music with her latest single “Mature” via Atlantic Records. Co-written by her husband and GRAMMY®-winning songwriter/producer Matthew Koma alongside hitmaker Madison Love, the shimmering track arrives as an autofictional piece inspired by romantic misadventures in her formative years.

“‘Mature’ is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self,” says Hilary. “The two of us are reflecting on a past experience and sending love to each other. It’s a chuckle, a wink, and a sense of being grateful that we are sure-footed in where we landed.”

The single also kicks off a new chapter for Duff, including her upcoming docuseries, chronicling her long-awaited musical return and personal journey through the years. To celebrate it all, this week, Hilary Duff announces ‘Small Rooms, Big Nerves’, a mini tour this January, stopping in London, Toronto, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles.

Metamorphosis was the soundtrack of my childhood. From chart-topping singles like “So Yesterday” and “Come Clean,” her album continues to hold a place in my heart. You best believe, eight-year-old Natalie will be dancing her heart out in this new era of Hilary Duff.

Tickets for the mini tour go on sale Friday, November 14. https://www.hilaryduff.com/live
