Geena Fontanella Champions Women on The Millennial Tour

For Geena Fontanella, the music of the early 2000s isn’t just a source of inspiration — it’s the foundation of a community.

Known for blending the energy of pop-punk, emo, and alternative rock with heartfelt songwriting, Fontanella has built a loyal following by embracing the sound and spirit of the millennial era while connecting authentically with fans. Now she’s bringing that community to stages across the country with The Millennial Tour, a 28-city U.S. run that celebrates the music of the era while creating meaningful opportunities for women in alternative music.

Running from July 29 through August 16 before returning September 9 through September 25, the tour will visit cities across the United States, bringing together fans of pop-punk, emo, alternative rock, and 2000s nostalgia.

What makes the tour especially noteworthy is its commitment to showcasing women in the genre. The lineup features 12 female-fronted artists, with direct support from Turning Jane, an all-female band.

“Creating more opportunities for women in alternative music has been a huge priority for this tour,” says Fontanella. “We’re proud to be building something that reflects that.”

That commitment reflects a broader vision of community — one that extends well beyond the stage.

At a time when female-fronted acts are still often underrepresented on alternative rock touring bills, The Millennial Tour offers a different approach — one that intentionally creates space for women to perform, connect with audiences, and grow together.

With 28 dates, a lineup that spotlights female-fronted artists, and a combined social reach of more than 10 million followers, The Millennial Tour is more than a celebration of the music that defined a generation. It’s also an example of how artists like Geena Fontanella are helping shape a more inclusive future for alternative music — one city at a time.
