Singer-songwriter Ashe has announced her fourth studio album and first release with Atlantic Records, The Girl of Your Dreams, out October 16. Her lead single, “Stop the Wedding!,” keeps climbing the charts and is her biggest solo debut to date!
“I feel like I’ve been trying to write The Girl of Your Dreams album my entire life,” Ashe details. “I think I made it from the most healed, actualized version of myself, and that gave me a lot of freedom to be funny, and dramatic, and heartbroken, and not afraid of any of it!!!”
She continues, “There are pieces of every version of me on this album, but for the first time I don’t feel like I’m trying to become someone else or escape myself. This is the best thing I’ve ever made, and will probably be calling it quits if this album doesn’t connect with people, hah!”
This marks a new era for Ashe. The album centers on songs that sound huge and cinematic while dealing with the messiness of life. She’s reunited with producer and collaborator Noah Conrad, who co-wrote “Moral of the Story” and co-produced her debut album, Ashlyn. Pulling from 70s influences and a 1950s Hollywood aesthetic, the album takes a more whimsical approach than her previous records, with Ashe’s love for theatre bringing us into the world of The Girl of Your Dreams.
“Stop the Wedding!,” which passed 15 million streams in its first three weeks, captures the realization that you can change your life’s path. Her newly released single “Funeral,” the album’s closing track, reflects on what it feels like to finally find your person.
In 2025, Ashe teamed up with her close collaborator and friend Finneas as The Favors, releasing their debut album, The Dream, to critical success.
